Portage VFW Post 5855 was established in 1965 and has been a haven for Veterans, family and friends as well as serving the local community increasing awareness of the Military Veteran to all.

Thinking about making a charitable contribution to a worthy organization?

Remember, your VFW Post 5855 is a 401C (non-profit), which means any contributions to the post are tax deductible. You can ask for your donation to be earmarked for the Relief Fund (which helps us help veterans in need), Honor Guard Fund (which helps us provide funeral honors), the Scholarship Fund which is for veterans attending college), or just help us keep the lights on, repair, and modernize our Post facilities by donating to the General Fund. Donations can be as big or small as you like, everything helps.

If you would like to make a donation to the club, you can:

1) Give it to the bartender, who will give you an envelope to mark for the “Quartermaster”. Please write on it “donation” and also put your name and address so you can be mailed a receipt for your tax filing if you want one.

2) Mail it to the club at the address below and put your information for where to have the receipt sent to.
